Watch out for Goblins
About an hour outside of Moab lies Goblin State Park, famous for being the perfect child’s natural playground! The morning was cold and windy, but that didn’t stop the boys from enjoying this unique place.
We are traveling with a National Park pass, which grants us access into each park for free, typically a $35 fee at each entrance. Since this was a Utah state park, it was not included in the pass and was $20. Just a heads up for any other travelers!
The rock formations only grew to about 5-12 ft on average, making way for climbing under, over and through. The ‘goblin’s spread as far as we could see.
Truth wasn’t feeling very well that day, so she stayed in the car, unfortunately. The wind picked up enough that garbage cans started blowing over, so our stop was a quick one, but well worth it!
One of my favorite parts of the park was located outside of the Valley of Goblins and back along the sheer rockface. We drove through the area and Adam and Merill got out to explore the cave and canyons a bit. The views were incredible! There were camp sites located along the cliff, and we would love to come back with our trailer and stay sometime. SO much to explore!
We left the park and continued north towards Capitol Reef.
